Official Logo + Update - May 2012

Can you believe it's May already? Time has flown since
we planted those tiny Raspberry plants back in December!

As you can see, we have an official logo now! After lots of editing and working with a fantastic logo company, we are so happy to share with you  Russian River Raspberry's official logo. We are looking forward to putting this on the Facebook fan page, website, business cards, and packages! We will also be designing new business cards, so if you see any member of our family, ask us for one! We'd be happy to share them with you.

Here is a small update on what's been going
down behind the scenes with RRR. . .
The plants are growing and getting so big! Little buds have started blooming, which means we will be getting fruit soon! We are also still taking orders NOW for shares of Raspberries. If you are interested in buying Raspberries to have them during the summer, now is the time to sign up and purchase a share because we won't have unlimited berries! First come, first serve!

As always, for more information on ordering, our business, and what we do,
you can find it at our website at www.rusrivras.com

New Growth and Update - April 2012

Over the past few months since planting, there has been quite a bit of excitement at Russian River Raspberries! The plants have been growing quickly and there is a lot of new growth to prove it. The rain finally came, which was huge blessing for us. We also added a new 'member' of the family and business, a vintage Ford Tractor... who we affectionately call "Mr.Darcy"! Mr.Darcy has been a huge help (and time saver) while maintaining the fields.

Have you visited our new and improved website recently? Visit out official website HERE and if you are on Facebook, like our fan page HERE to receive updates on upcoming news.

We are taking orders NOW for raspberries in the summer, so hurry over to our website and place an order before we run out (remember, we can only sell a curtain amount of shares per year).

Feel free to leave us comments on our blog or Facebook fan page and give us feedback!

Planting Raspberries | December 2011

The week of Christmas, our family decided to plant the Raspberry fields. We had 2 acres to plant 7,500 raspberry plants. Dad had some research and found out that one full grown man could plant 900 plants in a full work day. So he finished the math and calculated we could plant all 7,500 plants in 2-3 days; just with our family of 7 if everyone worked. Well, after the first day (Wednesday), all 7 of us together planted 656 plants. Definitely did not be our quota! That night we had a mini panic attack and figured we would never be done by Christmas! We decided to get some help from our friends . . . so we called a couple people and figured if all 9 of us worked a full day we could be closer to our goal. By noon on Thursday, Dad realized we just need some serious workers who would do nothing but work, so he went to the corner of Fulton Road and hired 2 men to help plant. Best decision we ever made. Those two men were such fast and efficient workers! Friday, Dad hired 4 more workers! They basically finished the first field by the end of the day. Then on Saturday, Christmas Eve, Dad had the workers doing irrigation on the first field while our family and the Robert family (who graciously volunteered their help!) planted the second field. So yes, we finished planting 7,500 plants in 4 days. Thank you to all our dear friends who volunteered their help! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Also, we have some great news, our website launched on Thursday! We are now taking orders for Raspberries! You can view ordering instructions, packages, and much more at our website. We would also great appreciate it if you could help us get the word out! Send out website to your friends and let them know they can order now! Check it out at www.rusrivras.com

Have a Happy and Safe New Year!
